The Bad Guy and Emma are sitting on the couch watching the Season One DVD of Community. Emma is attempting to snuggle into The Bad Guy, who resists her effort. She tries again, but this time The Bad Guy pushes her away as he stands up. He's obviously upset.
The Bad Guy: "This is all wrong. Very, very wrong. I mean, first, NBC benches Community and we don't know when it'll return next year. Second, ABC doesn't put Cougar Town on the midseason schedule and has cut the episode order down to fifteen. What's left?
Emma stands, behind The Bad Guy.
Emma: "Arrested Development?"
The Bad Guy sighs.
The Bad Guy: "I need to actually watch that before I can celebrate it's revival. Christmas it is then."
The Bad Guy smiles, a bittersweet happiness. He walks around the room, surveying it.
The Bad Guy: "I don't understand. I've lost all my matches and yet I'm in a number one contenders match. Hmm, I'll probably Britta it up like everything else I've touched.
Emma: "Hey! You're streets ahead of everyone else, and those who don't believe that, well, they're streets behind. C'mon, how 'bout we have some wine, you get Big Carl and I'll get Big Joe, and then we can have a game of Penny Can. Just think, tomorrow you'll be the number one contender.
The Bad Guy smiles, this time it isn't bittersweet. He turns to Emma.
The Bad Guy: You know, when you aren't acting crazy and annoying, you're actually good company. Tomorrow, I will wake as the number one contender. Now...
The Bad Guy sits back on the couch, happier now. He looks up at Emma.
The Bad Guy: "... wanna watch Contemporary American Poultry again?"
Emma: "As far back as I can remember, I've always wanted to be in a mafia movie."
The Bad Guy laughs as Emma sits down besides him, she attempts to snuggle in again, and unlike earlier, succeeds.
